Olivia J Rushing, born and raised in Clewiston, Florida, is a gifted gospel artist who has been singing since childhood. A preacher’s kid with a powerful voice and deep-rooted faith, Olivia has always believed that music is her ministry. Her love for gospel—especially quartet music—has shaped her unique sound, which blends traditional soul with modern gospel influences.

In 2021, Olivia released her first-ever single, “God’s Got It,” a heartfelt tribute and remix in honor of her father, a dedicated quartet singer. The song marked the beginning of her journey as a solo gospel artist. In 2023, she followed up with her EP “He Lives,” featuring the lead single”He Lives In Me”. The song became a testament to her unwavering faith and musical growth.

In 2025, Olivia formed the group Olivia J & New Mercy, a vibrant collective of artists who share her vision: to mix all genres of gospel while remaining true to the message of Christ. From quartet and traditional to contemporary and worship, their music offers something for every listener who loves gospel with a fresh twist.

Olivia currently serves as the Praise and Worship Leader and Music Coordinator at Glorious Community Holiness Church, where she pours into her local community with the same passion she brings to the stage. Whether leading worship, recording in the studio, or performing live, Olivia’s heart remains the same—to use her voice for God’s glory and inspire others through music.
